Healthy Lifestyle #3
Things are still going well, I actually finally broke through my plateau today by a couple of lbs, which was nice. I've been sitting around a plateau since January, usually just right there, a couple times I've been up a couple of lbs, so that's been kind of frustrating, but I realize that it's probably my fault. Even though, like I said before, I'm 99% of the time probably in a calorie deficit, I'm not always in a 500 calorie deficit, which is what it takes to lose a lb. I've only been exercising once a week regularly, throwing in some little walks every now and then in between. This is not where I want to be, but school has just been keeping me too busy. Even with the time change (which makes it easier to exercise outside in the evenings), school has still seemed to have had to take 1st priority the last couple of weeks. At least I haven't gained wait or completely fallen off the exercise wagon, so I am proud of myself for that. I've gotten on a new kick this week of setting a new goal to try and eat more whole foods and less processed foods. I made some healthy oat bran muffins from scratch this last weekend and it made a large batch so I can freeze them and take them out to eat for a healthy, satiating breakfast or a sustainable afternoon snack. They are really delicious, too! Other than that, I'm just hoping I can lose at least 3-4 more lbs before my next doctor's appointment in May. That's my new, more realistic goal rather than the 10 lbs by May goal that I had back in March. I don't necessarily need to reach my maintenance weight by then, but to be down a little bit more would be nice. This doctor's appt will be the next check up on my blood work and a physical. Then after that, it will be summer and I'll definitely have more time to exercise.
